NCP Dahal-Nepal faction demonstrates across Nepal

 

 

The Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party has staged demonstration across the country, protesting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives, on Tuesday.

This is the second time that top leaders of the party, split from Oli’s NCP owing to the dissolution decision, resorted to the street for protest. Earlier on Friday last week also, they had staged a demonstration in Kathmandu.

In Kathmandu’s protest on Tuesday, the party’s chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal among other senior leaders led the protesters.

The party also brought its cadres from various other districts also to the capital to show its strength. In addition, some central leaders were mobilised in other parts of the country.

Major political parties except the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led faction of the Nepal Communist Party have been protesting the move for the past week.

Dolpa: Demonstration has taken place in Dolpa against Prime Minister KP Oli Kamadam. Activists of Prachanda-Nepal faction have staged a demonstration in Dolpa district headquarters against the dissolution of the federal parliament by the Prime Minister.
Stating that Oli has ‘coup’ on the constitution by insulting the people’s opinion, Secretariat member Jang Bahadur Rokaya said that the CPN (Maoist) has not split.

Activists of Prachanda Nepal side staged a demonstration in the district headquarters Dunai against the banner with slogans like “Remove Indian Army, Restore Parliament, KP Oli Murdabad”.

In his address, Rokaya said that the people do not respect the people’s opinion and the people will not forgive Prime Minister Oli and the President for taking unconstitutional steps with the corrupt.

Students of Dolpa have protested in Kathmandu today. According to student leader Yogendra Budha, the agitation will intensify if Prime Minister Oli does not back down.

A huge demonstration has taken place against Prime Minister Ol at the Jajarkot headquarters today. Leader Niraj Acharya informed that the agitation was going on due to Oli.
