CPN-UML Karnali province parliamentary party meeting today has decided to withdraw its support to the Karnali government.
A meeting of the PP including Karnali provincial in-charge Yam Lal Kandel took the decision to withdraw the party’s support to Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi. The decision of the meeting was submitted to the Office of the Chief of the Province today itself.
The decision with signature by 10 members of the parliamentary party has announced withdrawing the support with effect from March 18, according to a statement issued by the acting secretary of the Office of the Chief of Province, Bhim Raj Thani. Meanwhile, Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning Prakash Jwala claimed that the decision of the UML to the provincial government continues to stand in effect.
He described the reported decision of withdrawal as a faction group’s decision, which is against the law and statute.
